5 and 6 miles complete!

“If you fail to prepare, prepare to fail.”

I Love this quote! As i've mentioned in this blog before, I think most of the drive and determination in running a race doesn't have to do with the race itself, but rather the months of training that come beforehand. The tough part is giving up part of your day to go run and running when you don't always feel like it. The preparation shows the true will to succeed. I am a firm believer that anyone can run a half marathon that prepares and trains correctly!

Miles 5 and 6 went really well! I ran the 5 miles in the rain, which is always interesting. It had been raining all day and I was waiting for any break, so I could go run. It finally stopped and of course starting pouring again shortly after I started. I always feel so silly when I run in the rain, because I feel like the cars driving by think i'm nuts. The thing they don't realize is that i've got to get back home and running is the only way to do that...haha!

6 miles was also pretty good. Totally different weather, being that it was sunny and hot! I have the hardest time running in the heat. I've been never someone to sweat a lot and I think I might get hotter because of it. I hate running when it's really hot :( Either way, I got through it and I feel good about running 7 miles this weekend.
