The race was everything I imagined it would be. It was amazing!!! It was super cold outside, but it didn't take long for me to get very warm! I didn't get much sleep the night before, but I had so much energy during the race. I finished in 1 hour and 56 minutes, which is much faster than I had anticipated! I knew anything under 2 hours was really good, but I hadn't been training at that fast of a pace. I'm very happy with that time, and it made finishing that much better now that I can also be proud of my time! Races are so much fun and meaningful cause you get to see how many people really care about running. Everyone seems to enjoy it so much and everyone really encourages each other. I had my name on my running number and so many people throughout the course yelled my name that I didn't even know! I also had a cheering section at the finish line of all of my friends. It was such a fun experience being with my friends and running the races together. Michael was awesome and took lots of pictures for me and even stood at the starting line with me until the race began. The last picture is right before I crossed the finish line. Now that i've finished this race, I'm already looking at when I can run another!! I've decided to continue this blog and gives updates on my running, plus give encouragement to others. I'm going to write about other things besides running as well. Thanks to everyone that has kept up with me along the way and given me advice and support. I can't believe it's over!! How great it feels!!
