11 Miles Complete!!!

"The will to win means nothing without the will to prepare." -Juma Ikangaa, 1989 NYC Marathon winner

I ran the 11 miles yesterday. I had gotten kind of spoiled to having good weather, and yesterday was cold and rainy. I pushed through it though :) The eleven miles was hard. Plus, it is really dangerous running on wet leaves and the side walks are covered with leaves right now. I had to be really careful. I'm excited because I think i'm going to stop at 11 miles, instead of going to 12. People i've talked to say that you really only need to go to 11. That one mile doesn't make a difference, plus with the pain I felt yesterday i'd rather make sure i'm feeling good on Dec. 12th. So next weekend, i'm going to run 11 miles again on Saturday. Then the following week is kind of an easy week to make sure my body is ready for the race. So this weekend is really my last long run!!!

My knees were killing me yesterday during the run and today. 11 miles hurts..haha. I definetly busted out the scooting again....hehe. I can't believe i'm so close though! December 12th felt so far away when I first started and now it's three weeks away! My whole group of friends has caught the running bug, so we are going to have quite a crowd running at the Thunder Road races. I'm so proud of all my friends!

Thanks as always for your support!! It's amazing what encouragement from others can do for your motivation!! I love you all!!!
