I'll be in town for the next few weekends, so i'm hoping my running schedule will get better. The tough part is that my weekday runs are increasing this week. Instead of 2-3 miles, it's now 3-4 miles. I'm still enjoying it a lot. I'm starting to get a little sore, but nothing too bad yet. Again, thanks for everyone's support! This weekend=6 Miles and i'll be officially half way there!!!
Welcome to my running blog! This will update my friends and family of my continued running training and races that I participate in! I also hope to encourage others to take up running and learn to enjoy such a motivating sport!

5 Miles Complete (Week 3)
Well i'm writing a little late again because I had to push back this weeks long run. I went to Knoxville for the Tennessee vs. Georgia game. I had planned on getting up and running at 7am before we tailgated, but it was pouring rain in Knoxville, so that put a hold on running. Then on Sunday, it was dark when we got back in town. So Today, I ran my five miles. It was a nice run though because I ran on a trail. Its such a nice change of pace from running on busy streets. Not only is it annoying to stop when you reach an intersection, but I think all of the fumes from the cars make it harder as well. It was also a lot easier because it was flat. Most of my runs these days are full of hills. I've gotten use to that, so it felt easy to have a flat run. It makes me realize how people can train on flat runs and get to a race and be very unprepared. Most races have lots of hills, especially in Charlotte. The trail was also nice, because it lets me experience fall. One of things i've noticed since I started working and got out of school, is that the seasons seem to change so much faster and last for a shorter amount of time. In our busy schedules, people don't spend as much time outside. Adding running into your life, really does help you experience the outdoors, when you normally wouldn't. I've noticed the changing of leaves in Charlotte this year more than ever. Even on busy roads, I get to see the changes. It really is nice.
