Welcome!
Hello All! Welcome to my new running blog! As most of you know, I love to talk about running. It's becoming somewhat of a passion of mine. I've decided to train for a half marathon, and instead of making almost all of my conversations with friends about my training, I decided to keep everyone updated through this blog! Make sure you read the "about me" section in the right side panel to get more information. Running is something that i've found that makes me feel competitive again and set goals for myself. People find the feeling of success from so many different things.....for some it's from grades or test scores.....or it may be a promotion at work or saving money to buy something new. Physical activity has always been that thing for me, and I get that feeling of success from running. There are 75 million runners in the United States. Running helps lower blood pressure, improve heart function, accelerates fat burning, increases brain function, helps sex drive, and makes you live longer! I want to encourage others to pick up running not only for these reasons, but to maybe get the feeling I get when I run :) Monday, Sept. 20th(tomorrow) is the day I officially start training. I'm doing a 12 week program, where I basically run a few medium runs during the week and Saturdays will be my length training. This Sat. I will start at 3 miles and then each proceeding weekend, I will add another mile, until I reach 12! I'm so excited to get started and I hope you will enjoy reading this blog along the way!
